Back in 1999, a Facebook page was created called "BBQ Pitmaster Secrets". This page was created out of a need to provide a place where BBQ enthusiasts could have a place to call home, discuss BBQ, and share stories of food, fun, and family to a worldwide audiance. This page was created by Jim Perry, who simply wanted a place online to "do BBQ". Some of the main tenants of that initial Facebook page was simply the following. No politics, no religion, no hate speech, no unathorized sales, and put very simply, "We just do BBQ and fun here". The site quickly grew, and Jim soon realized that he was going to need some help. To that end Kevin Cowen, Michael Brachelli, Arlona McGill, and Terri Stoner came on board to help administer the Facebook page. The site quickly grew to over 150,000 plus members worldwide. It was truly a place where BBQ was discussed and enjoyed online, just like we always imagined it would be.

Initially, we had several cool vendor give aways and contests that promoted various BBQ cook-offs for prizes. The user community ejoyed it and the admins of the site really had a blast interacting with the user community. It was truly a great time.

Well, that was 6 years ago. "BBQ Pitmaster Secrets" Facebook page is still alive and well, and we continue to grow and welcome new users to the page every single day. Today, we are still growing and have decided to take the next step in our online BBQ evolution, by creating this webpage.

In our new incarnation, we strive to be a place where yopu can go for all of your BBQ needs. We plan to grow this site into a really cool online BBQ destination. A place where not only can you see some of the latest trends in the BBQ world, you can research BBQ restaurant destinations for your next adventure out, check out what our resident Pitmaster might be doing, buy cool BBQ merch, or watch the latest cool "BBQ How To" video from some of your favorite BBQ fans.
